Matt Turner awarded an LMS Collaboration with Developing Countries grant

Matt Turner has been awarded a “Collaboration with Developing Countries” travel grant by the London Mathematical Society to fund a 10 day visit for Dr Sara Chikhi to visit the University of Surrey. Dr Chikhi’s home institurion is the University of Science and Technology Houari Boumediene (USTHB), Algeria. The LMS scheme promotes the collaboration of researchers where one member of the team comes from a developing country in which mathematics could be considered to be in a disadvantaged position. During the visit Matt and Sara will develop a research collaboration on the superharmonic instability of three-dimensional waves with surface tension. The photo below shows the USTHB campus.
