Cesare Tronci gives the opening lecture at a workshop on geometry in Policeta – San Rufo

The XII International Workshop on Information Geometry, Quantum Mechanics and Applications 2026 was held in Policeta – Sun Rufo, in the south of Italy, last week (28 June to 4 July). This workshop is part of a series of meetings on quantum mechanics and its applications held either in Italy (Naples, Policeta), or Spain (Madrid, Grajera). Their aim is to analyse the mathematical foundations of quantum mechanics, quantum field theory and their applications to quantum information technologies. Cesare Tronci was invited to give the first lecture of the conference. He spoke on “Geometry of Koopman wavefunctions in hybrid quantum-classical dynamics“. Further information about his talk and the workshop in general can be found at the website (link here). The photo below shows Cesare during his talk.
