Rachel Bernasconi was in Chicago last week (12-14 October) for the NITMB Scientific Focus Workshop: Theory and Mathematics in Neuroscience – Dynamics in Neuroscience (workshop website here). It was held at the National Institute for Theory and Mathematics in Biology, It has a standalone venue but is closely associated with Northwestern University and the University of Chicago (website here).
