The paper “The failure of the Ehlers–Kundt conjecture in the impulsive case“, co-authored by M.L. Frauenberger, J.D.E. Grant & R. Steinbauer, has been published in the journal “General Relativity and Gravitation”. The Ehlers and Kundt conjecture, postulated in 1962, claimed that plane waves are the only class of complete Ricci-flat pp-waves. The paper summarises completeness results for several classes of impulsive wave spacetimes achieved during the last few years and discuss them in the context of the Ehlers–Kundt conjecture.
