Congratulations to Jacob Brooks who passed his PhD confirmation examination on Monday 18th December.  His confirmation report is titled “Existence of stationary fronts in a system of two coupled wave equations with spatial inhomogeneity”.  The examiners were Tom Bridges and Sergey Zelik.  The project co-supervisors are Gianne Derks and David Lloyd.

Congratulations to Chrissy Gavin for passing her PhD viva today!  The examiners were Nikola Popovic (Edinburgh) and Carina Dunlop. The title of her thesis is “Geometric Singular Perturbation Theory for a Dimerisation Problem in Mathematical Pharmacology“.  Her project was co-supervised by Philip Aston and Gianne Derks.
