Project of Matt Turner on analysis of sloshing systems funded by EPSRC

The project “Dynamic coupling in sloshing systems with multiple baffles“, led by Matt Turner, has been funded by the EPSRC Small Grants Panel. The project starts 1st October 2022 and runs for one year. The award is for £67.5K and provides 50% staff time and travel money. A link to the EPSRC page is here. The project aims to construct a novel, fast and efficient numerical scheme to simulate the motion of a coupled sloshing system where rigid impermeable baffles are inserted on the side walls of a rectangular vessel, which is restricted to oscillate in one horizontal space dimension.
